A mature healthy leaf of this plant is brushed lightly with castor oil and heated on direct flame for a few seconds.This warm leaf is tied like a poultice or spread  over the area of concentrated pain-This will definitely decrease the pain and the Sciatica symptoms.

Vitex negundo is a common medicinal shrub .It is also known as Vavili chettu in Telugu and Nocchi in Tamil.In Sanskrit its name is Nirgandhi.In Hindi it is known as Indrani.

This plant is used for treating coughs,fevers,dyspepsia,Asthma,Worms in the stomach ,Boils, Cholera, Sprains, Skin infections and Rheumatism.
